Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang , has emphasized the pivotal role of professionalism in the construction industry. The Governor stated this on Tuesday while declaring open, the 53rd Builders' Annual Conference/AGM at the Crespan Suites and Event Centre in Jos, Plateau State, with the theme "Cement and Concrete: Advances in Research and Applications." Governor Mutfwang, who was bestowed with an Honorary Fellowship by the Nigerian Institute of Builders, underscored the importance of the building profession in establishing a resilient infrastructure within the nation. He urged the Institute to assert its influence and take proactive measures to ensure that all construction projects adhere to high professional standards, thereby reshaping the current state of affairs. "With a determined resolve guided by divine grace, we aim to transform the narrative on the Plateau. The Institute's significance cannot be overstated, and the moment is ripe for it to
