Securing the future: Dapar Aid gives scholarships to Performing Students and Orphans

In keeping faith with his vision for the betterment of his immediate communities and passion for vulnerable children, the Executive Director of Dapar Aid Amb. Satmak Dapar has generously given scholarships to students striving for academic excellence and some orphans carefully selected in collaboration with the school administrations of both GSS Jiblik and GSS Jibam.

It was a weeklong of meticulous planning and implementation under the committee chairmanship of Kumwen Walshak Musa the State PRO, Plateau Youth Council and assisted by Mr. Emmanuel Leman the CEO of Educating the Rural Child Foundation. Satmak Dapar in far away Australia said it was time to give back to society and touch the most vulnerable members of humanity citing the Biblical verse that says "whoever is generous to the poor, lends to the Lord and he will repay him for his deeds.". Satmak Dapar further posited that: "we shouldn't be smug in our privilege and comfortable in our abundance."

While reading his speech, the committee chairman Mr. Kumwen Walshak Musa said, Satmak Dapar started Dapar Aid way back in 2010 as a new student at UniJos. He had nothing but he had incredible passion and vision. He sustained the tempo and thankfully, today, Dapar Aid is achieving its underlying objectives of transforming communities and hopefully in the near future with the help of God, the foundation will reach out to more communities. Dapar further salutes the courage of those living in squalid conditions yet exhibiting uncommon determination to reach their full potentials and purpose. He said he was determined to dispel their disillusionments.

Responding to the kind gesture, the village heads of both Jiblik and Jibam appreciated very kindly, the benevolence of Amb. Satmak Dapar to their communities and prayed God to bless him while urging the beneficiaries to properly utilize the support given to aid their education. Similarly, the Principals of both Jiblik and Jibam on behalf of the schools thanked Amb. Satmak Dapar very immensely for chosing their schools out of many to render the kind support to their students. They prayed for open doors and hope for many more intervention in the future to keep spurring the kids to ensure they take their studies seriously.

Mr. Nanpan Gwanle, the chairman of the Jiblik Youth Development Association poured praises on Satmak Dapar for his continuous service to humanity and stressed that Jiblik Youth are forever proud of Amb. Satmak Dapar for being one of their own.

Highlights of the program was the presentation of scholarship to 20 deserving students.
