THE MUTFWANG'S ADMINISTRATION BREATHES HOPE TO ALL PLATEAU PEOPLE

El-mangs Amos

Prior to taking over as the sole administration of Plateau State, the State was in shambles and several questions were asked if the incoming administration is capable to reuniting Plateau forces and build a lasting legacies in view of the  Plateau Heritage, and without any tribe or religion feeling segregated or marginalized.

From day one, Governor Mutfwang assured Plateau people that his government will be built on trust and love for humanity. He acknowledged the fact that he is aware of the how challenging it will be. However, his commitment to building a people centred Government remain his topmost priority.

Today, every on the Plateau has its voice represented in governance. There is no religion or any social affiliated group that will deny the fact that it is carried along. This is a hope for all Plateau people from experiences of the previous administration. What beats my imagination is also the fact that young people below the ages of 40 have been prioritized not just to head agencies but ministries of government. Beyond politics and mere opportunity, it is for the fact that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State believes in the win that has change times and season, and the time is now, and not tomorrow for Plateau people irrespective of dividing lines to participate actively in governance. From day one, Governor Mutfwang showed high sense of readiness by appointing Plateau's sons of class in various offices towards effective governance.

Before 100 days in office, Governor Mutfwang was highly proactive in bringing to an end some of the challenging experience he inherited from his predecessor. To those in the civil service will understand that governance is an organised activity, and penetrating into the federal parastatal for someone outside the ruling party is not easy. We must give it to the governor for having such wisdom we never saw in the previous administration in 8 years despite faced by cases of insecurities. Governor Mutfwang achieved that in less than three months that saw Plateau people getting the needed attention from the federal government. We can say that normalcy is experienced in most of the communities that were attacked by forces that are against the Plateau man.

Governor Mutfwang also holds the believe that no house will stand on a faulty foundation. Many of our gallants youths were victims of circumstances of appointments given on error by the past government. He believes that every Plateau citizen deserves what belongs to Plateau, one need not to know someone before gaining employment into the civil service. That he immediately set up committee to investigate and the appropriate actions were duly taken.

Plateau belongs to everyone, and this administration is showing evidence of the fact that Plateau have what it takes to be placed on the global map of excellence. May Plateau succeed.
