PROTESTERS BLOCK ROADS IN JOS, CALLS FOR REVIEW AND REVERSAL OF APPEAL COURT JUDGEMENTS


Following the Appeal Court judgment against Plateau's national assembly members, particularly those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who won by wide margins in the february national assembly elections, Plateau citizens expresses their dismay and grieve through a peaceful protests in Jos the Plateau State Capital.


Protesters are seen blocking a major junction, Old Airport Round about, in Jos the Plateau State capital; and the major entrance into the State from Akwanga in Nasarawa State at Mararaban Jama'a


In different inscriptions, the protesters describe the Appeal Court judgments as a broad day light robbery; hence, pushing the electorates to losing hope in the judiciary which is regarded as HOPE of the common man. They therefore calls for review of the judgements and outright reversal.


Speaking, one if the protester asserts that it is displeasing to see that the court is forcing a leadership that is undeserving of the people's mandate as it is evident when they were outrightly rejected at the polls.
