APC WAILERS WAILING OVER THE 500 MILLION SHARING FORMULA, A MOVE TO DISTRACT GOVERNOR MUTFWANG's EFFORT TOWARDS GOVERNANCE

Aside the huge debt of over 300 billion and other related problems inherited from the Governor Lalong led administration, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang also inherited one of the most severe tragedy ever experienced on the Plateau when communities in Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu were attacked days to assuming office, leaving hundreds dead and thousands displaced.

The first lady of the Federal Republic, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Bola Tinubu through her foundation donates the total sum of 500 million naira only for the benefit of the affected victims of Plateau's attack through the Plateau State Government. This effort by Her Excellency will definitely remain in the sand of time.

The effort of the Plateau State Government in ensuring that the beneficiaries of this kind gesture are reached have attracted negative comments by the opposition party in the State through various social media post and comments as well as national television broadcast. Though their impression looks as if they care, but it is a clear game plan to distract the effort of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang from focussing on governance to earning cheap political points of finding faults where there is none.

If these  people are so concerned about the wellbeing of governance on the Plateau as claimed, is Plateau's problem the 500 million donated by Her Excellency? Can the wailers give us the measurement of who the beneficiaries of the donations should be?  Are those on the supposed list circulated on the social media not affected by the inhumane attacks and qualify to be beneficiaries? What have been their contributions to resolving the Plateau's security challenges as they are claiming mighty and high? What actually do they stand to gain? Can we really say that they mean well for Plateau? These are questions among many others that should be answered.

Despite the numerous challenges, Plateau State Government has remain resolute in discharging it's responsibilities of delivering the dividends of good governance to Plateau people. This can be seen in the effort of initiating workable policies, national interactions and engagements, and resolve towards peace which have already taken shape and transformed into physical and visible infrastructures.

The Governor Mutfwang is the mandate of Plateau people and it has come to stay. He is not just the governor for now as they said, he is here to stay for the period the mandate of the Plateau people bestows on him.
